Infinix GT 30 Review: The Gaming Phone Made for Everyone

Ever since its launch in August this year, Filipino XFans have been eagerly waiting for the local release of the GT 30 Pro’s non-Pro sibling, the Infinix GT 30—a high-performance gaming phone that brings a new level of experience where everyone can play. Now that we finally have it in hand, we’re putting it through the same tests we did with the Pro model.

All right, enough small talk—let’s get this show on the road!

Unboxing

Right off the bat, the Infinix GT 30’s packaging already gives you not-so-subtle hints about the pedigree this phone belongs to. The sleeve features the MPL PH (Mobile Legends Professional League) logo on the front and MLBB character Benedetta on the side. That’s no surprise, since Infinix is the MPL Official Smartphone Partner.

Slide that sleeve up and you’ll see a big difference from the GT 30 Pro’s black-and-red motif which you can revisit here. The Infinix GT 30 instead sports a black-and-green theme.

The far-left box is silver-gray with the MPL logo, the middle box is dark gray/black with a simpler Infinix GT 30 design, and the far-right box is plain black with the slogan "Grand Gaming Tour, OUTPLAY THE REST."

Inside the box, you’ll find the following:

  • The Infinix GT 30 itself
  • SIM ejector pin
  • Transparent jelly case
  • Quick start guide + warranty info
  • 45W fast-charging brick-   USB Type-C charging cable

Unlike the GT 30 Pro Gaming Kit, which comes bundled with the MagCharge Cooler, the Infinix GT 30 includes its own accessory—the MagCooling Fan. And if you already own the Pro’s MagCharge Cooler, no worries, the GT 30 is fully compatible with it too.

Design

A very close-up shot, held by a person's fingers, showing the detailed, intricate geometric pattern and texture on the back panel of the blue Infinix GT smartphone. The hexagonal design at the center is clearly visible.

Like its bigger brother, the Infinix GT 30 rocks a cyber-inspired design with an exclusive GT eSports totem on the back. Things get flashier with lighting effects that glow in 20 unique patterns, triggered by 14 different scenarios.

These “Mechanical Light Waves,” as Infinix calls them, aren’t just eye candy—they double as practical indicators for notifications and calls. They even sync with your music and haptics, making the phone feel alive in your hands.

The Infinix GT 30 comes in Shadow Ash, Blade White, and two new colors: Pulse Green and the one we’re reviewing, Cyber Blue. Both new finishes carry the same bold pattern/design as the Gaming Master Edition of the GT 30 Pro, giving it that extra gamer vibe straight out of the box. To match its maangas looks, it also boasts an IP64 dust- and water-resistance rating.

Display

A gaming phone needs more than just looks; it needs a killer screen. The Infinix GT 30 doesn’t just comply, it dominates. It packs a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a buttery 144Hz refresh rate.

Pair that with an ultra-fast 2160Hz touch sampling rate, and every tap, flick, and swipe feels instant. Even under direct sunlight, the screen stays clear thanks to its 4500 nits peak brightness. Perfect for those gaming sessions during school breaks or commute hours.

And because a display this bright could strain your eyes, Infinix added 2304Hz PWM dimming and TÜV Low Blue Light certification to reduce flicker and fatigue.

Performance

The GT series is built for performance, and the GT 30 doesn’t stray from that legacy. It may not be aiming to outshine the Pro, but it’s here to dominate its price range—and it does exactly that.

A first-person view of a person holding the Infinix GT smartphone horizontally and actively playing a mobile first-person shooter (FPS) game, likely Call of Duty Mobile. Their thumbs are on the screen's controls, and the in-game action is visible.

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, the GT 30 pulled an impressive 991,557 score on AnTuTu Benchmark V11. For context, other devices with the same chipset usually hover around 770,000.

This edge comes from Infinix’s Self-Developed 3D VCC Cooling System, which features a massive 20,000mm² heat dissipation area. Tapos dagdag mo pa yung MagCharge Cooler, o ‘di ba! Ang lamig!

Optimization plays a big role, too. Features like Intelligent In-Frame Prediction & Recovery and the Game Thermal Control Engine help to keep your GT 30’s FPS stable.

The Infinix GT 30 has also been certified by nearly all the major game publishers for high frame rate support, ensuring smooth and stable gameplay in popular titles such as:

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang120 FPS
Player Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG)90 FPS
ROV120 FPS
Standoff 2120 FPS
Honor Of Kings (HOK)120 FPS
BGMI90 FPS
Call of Duty Mobile (CODM)90 FPS
FreeFire120 FPS (including MAX version)
Delta Force90 FPS

The overlay shows real-time performance data, including CPU utilization at 40% and GPU utilization at 16%, with options for power-saving, balanced, and Performance modes, as well as tools like screen recording and memory cleanup.

And of course, the GT Trigger are back—Infinix’s top USP and something you’ll only find at this price point with the GT 30. With a 520Hz touch sampling rate and 7ms hardware latency, these console-like shoulder buttons give you a real edge in-game, whether it’s pulling off clutch headshots in shooters or quick combos in action titles.

Even in real-life use, they add extra convenience, like mapping them for camera shortcuts or other handy controls.

Battery and Charging

The phone packs a 5500mAh battery, more than enough for all-day gaming with some juice left over. Charging is handled by the included 45W fast charger.

A close-up flat lay of the white Infinix 45W charging adapter on a wooden surface, with a coiled white cable in the background. The text on the charger specifies its power output and safety certifications.

That said, while the Dimensity 7400’s efficiency and this battery combo easily last a day, we kind of wish Infinix went bigger here—something in the 6000mAh+ range would’ve been even sweeter for marathon gamers.

Camera

Let’s be real: the GT series is all about gaming, not photography. Still, the GT 30 can handle your everyday snapshots and social media needs.

The dual rear setup features a 64MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide, while the front houses a 13MP selfie camera. Both front and rear can shoot 4K video at 30fps, with the rear also capable of 1080p slow motion at 120fps.

An overhead, close-up shot of the corner of the blue Infinix GT smartphone, highlighting the rectangular camera module with its gold trim and a prominent LED flash. The phone rests on a wooden table, and the geometric pattern on the back is visible.

And here’s a neat trick—the GT Trigger double as camera controls. Tap once for a photo, long press for burst shots, or use them during video playback to pause, play, record, or fast-forward.

Here’s a few shots that we took with the Infinix GT 30’s rear camera.

We also took a few shots with the GT 30’s front facing camera.

Final Thoughts

The Infinix GT 30 might not carry the “Pro” badge, but don’t let that fool you—it’s every bit a serious gaming phone. From its flashy cyber-inspired design and customizable light effects, to its 144Hz AMOLED display and Dimensity 7400-powered performance, it delivers where it matters most for gamers.

The phone's back panel features an eye-catching blue and dark gray geometric pattern, resembling a futuristic circuit board design, with the "Infinix GT" branding near the bottom right.

Sure, the cameras won’t blow you away and we wish the battery packed just a bit more capacity, but for its price bracket, this phone is a certified beast. Add in the GT Trigger, optimized game support, and reliable cooling system, and you’ve got a device that can keep up with marathon gaming sessions without breaking a sweat.

At the end of the day, the GT 30 proves that “Everyone can be a Gaming Master.” Whether you’re a casual MLBB player, a CODM grinder, or just someone who wants a powerful all-around device without burning through your wallet, this phone has the tools to make you feel like a pro.
