We tested the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ in five popular mobile titles to determine its performance consistency on recommended graphics and frame rates. Moreover, we evaluated the battery drain and thermal scores of each game after 15 minutes of gameplay.

Honor of Kings

Developed by TiMi Studio Group, Honor of Kings made its debut internationally this year under the publisher Level Infinite. In this game, your goal is to destroy the enemy crystal to win.

Optimized for HOK, the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ is expected to run the title at high frame rates with unparalleled smoothness without overheating.

The touch response on attack and skill buttons was accurate without jittering the character. The player could smoothly kite enemies and dodge skill shots, thanks to zero stutters and lags. No observable delays were found when the player aimed and released their AOE skills.

The smartphone was unfazed by the number of visual effects flying left and right, letting the player engage enemies effortlessly.

FPS: High

A single match only consumed 4% of battery and the temperature didn’t exceed 35℃. The phone was comfortable to touch while playing, thanks to optimized heat dissipation.

Call of Duty: Mobile

Also developed by TiMi Studio Group, Call of Duty: Mobile brings the iconic COD multiplayer gaming and battle royale experience to your fingertips. In our test, the game performed fluidly while bullet trails flew across the battlefield.

When the Predator Missile was used, the transition from first-person view to bird’s eye was instantaneous and lag-free as the player directed the missile to targets. The transition from bird’s eye view back to first-person was seamless as well.

Reloading animation and switching between weapons had no obvious sluggishness. Visual effects from hits and explosions and even blood decals had no negative impact on the gameplay.

Graphics: Medium
FPS: High

Initial BatteryInitial TemperatureBattery @ 15 minsTemp @ 15 mins
79%*29.4℃76%36.1℃

The Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ only peaked at 36.1℃, still at optimal gaming temperature. The actual battery drain was only 3% after 15 minutes of gaming. Before the match started, the status bar showed the battery level at 79%.

PUBG Mobile

Co-developed by LightSpeed and Quantum Studio and PUBG Studios, PUBG Mobile brings the iconic battle royale of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to mobile devices. Be the last man standing in a large-scale deathmatch!

In our test, the plane parachuting cutscene started without interruptions of any kind. When the piloting was given to the player, they can rotate the plane’s view with ease at zero stutters. The bird’s eye view of the map was adequate wherein textures of trees and the land mass could be made out. The fog of war was apparent and texts of areas were sharp for the eyes.

The parachute drop went without a hitch and up in the sky, the view could easily be tilted to see the clouds at minimal to zero visual issues. On the ground, textures of trees, grass, land formations, and pathways were distinctly rendered.

The poly for walls and doors was average but it helped maintain that HD resolution and high FPS. Though, the decals were visible. While driving, the camera direction, animation, and loading of distant objects synchronized effectively without risking the player with stutters.

Shadows and colors were on point at relative distances to the player. Even distant buildings and trees had enough saturation. Aiming and shooting showed no noticeable problems with bullet trails and hit decals rendered properly.

FPS: High

The Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ maintained an optimal temperature of 33℃ after running the game for 15 minutes. The actual battery drain was only 3% (61% display on the status bar) after 15 minutes. This is remarkable considering the map size and the amount of visual assets rendered.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

Developed by Moonton, every gamer knows what Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is all about. Destroy the enemy base and win the match!

In our test, small details like the grass on the masonry flooring and tiny VFX on heroes were impressively rendered. Shadows were present on heroes too!

The device didn’t slow down even a bit despite the high texture and numerous game effects happening at the same time. Kiting an enemy was slick and steady.

During a failed enemy invade, the player was able to burst them down without stutters after pressing every skill. Even the 1v3 encounter in the tier-two tower was showcased frictionlessly as multiple skills from every hero were unleashed.

Only 3% of the battery was drained after 15 minutes of gaming and the temperature never reached 35℃.

League of Legends: Wild Rift

Developed and published by Riot Games, League of Legends: Wild Rift is the mobile version of the popular PC esports title. Play a champion, beat enemies, and destroy their Nexus to win.

During our test, the game defaulted on Performance mode at 60FPS. You can change it if you want via the Custom option.

The Performance mode exhibited vibrant textures and decals on the Rift. VFX on champions was rendered perfectly without causing gameplay problems. The scorch decal popped amazingly and wasn’t eclipsed by other effects during the match.

In the mid lane, the animation of the river was very evident while the fog of war went on and off rhythmically as two champions dueled in the brush. The game remained stable during the 2v2 in the tier-two mid-lane tower while champions threw everything in the kitchen sink.

Graphics: Vibrant
FPS: 60

While the textures, decals, and VFX were rendered vibrantly in exchange for a slightly higher power consumption, the temperature never reached 35℃ after 15 minutes of gameplay. Talk about optimized performance!
