Smartphone design these days has increasingly focused on achieving thin and light profiles, pushing the boundaries of innovation to the edge (wink wink). However, this pursuit of cutting-edge innovation often comes at a very steep cost.

If you look at the market today, most of these thin and light devices retail for ₱20,000 or more, sometimes even reaching six-digit figures. That’s about to change with the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+, the World’s slimmest 3D-curved AI phone, offering a “Paper Thin” experience without thinning out your wallet.

Unboxing Experience

While the exterior of the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+’s box may not impress you much, we’re sure the contents will. Apart from the phone and the standard inclusions, Infinix made a point to add a few thoughtful extras.

Inside the box, you’ll find the following:

  • The Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ itself
  • 45W Fast Charger
  • USB Type-C Cable
  • SIM Ejector Tool
  • Documentation including the User Manual and Warranty Card

Alongside those, Infinix included the following:

  • Transparent Hard Protective Shell
  • UV Tempered Glass
  • A Cleaning Kit for tempered glass application
  • Side Port Sealing Stickers

For an entry-level device, Infinix really knows how to make the most out of your budget.

Design and Build

When you first pick up the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+, the first thing that’ll hit you is just how crazy thin this phone is. At just 5.95mm, the “Paper Thin” branding isn’t just marketing fluff—it’s the truth. Heck, put a No. 2 pencil beside it, and you’ll get a sense of just how thin it is (which we did!).

What’s even crazier is that it weighs only 155g, making it one of the lightest and slimmest smartphones on the market, period. Yet, it still manages to pack quite a punch (more on that later). Surprisingly, despite its slimness, the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ doesn’t feel fragile or flimsy.

It’s actually very durable, thanks to Infinix building it with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on the front, aerospace-grade aluminum for the frame, and an ultra-thin NanoFiber Backshield for the rear, making it 50% harder than traditional materials. Ours came in a Misty Violet colorway but you can also choose from one of the other colors in Infinix’s Color-Pop design, these include Coral Tides, Titanium Silver, and Sleek Black.

Since this is just our first impressions of the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+, we’ve yet to test its durability thoroughly. So, be sure to stick around for the full review or our YouTube video to see just how tough this thin and light device truly is.

Display: All Gas, No Lag

The design is impressive enough for the price, but boot that baby up, and you’ll be even more amazed at the specs that the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ packs. Right out of the bat, the 6.78-inch 3D curved AMOLED display is a stunner. With its thin bezels, you might think this is a ₱20K smartphone, but you’d be wrong.

What’s even crazier is that you’re getting a 1.5K resolution, a buttery smooth 144Hz refresh rate, and a 4500-nit peak brightness. Add to that a 2160Hz touch sampling rate and 2304Hz PWM dimming for eye comfort, and it’s clear that Infinix isn’t just here to ride the wave—it’s here to create one.

And Infinix didn’t stop there; the HOT 60 Pro+ is also kitted out with an Always-on display, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and SGS-certified low blue light tech, which for the price is hella wild!

Performance: Helio G200 Is No Slouch

Under the hood, the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ rocks a MediaTek Helio G200, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. If that’s not enough, you can virtually bump the RAM up with up to 8GB of extended RAM.

Now, I know some of you will comment that the Helio G200 doesn’t offer a significant leap in performance over the G100. However, I’d like to remind our readers that this is a sub-₱10,000 phone with specs that will rival, if not outright shame, smartphones that are double its price. Plus, not everything is about raw performance, so that’s that.

During our brief test, everyday use was snappy, multitasking was smooth, and even light to moderate gaming ran just fine. What’s more, even with its thin profile, Infinix managed to squeeze in an 11-layer cooling system using a super-thin 0.3mm vapor chamber—not something you’d expect in a phone this thin, but hey, we’re not complaining!

What’s even better is that with the power of Google on Android, everything is a lot smarter especially with Google’s Gemini AI and Circle to Search function. Found a poster but doesn’t know the context? Just circle the poster and boom! You’ll have the answer in seconds. Seamless, intuitive, and made for everyday breakthroughs.

Camera

Even on the camera side, things remain solid. While we haven’t received any information on the other two lenses (whether they’re for macro or depth), the main one is a 50 MP Sony IMX882 with a wide 81° field of view. Pair that with Infinix’s AI-leveraged photography algorithm, and you’ll get clean, punchy shots in good lighting.

Meanwhile, for the selfie takers out there, the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ is fitted with a 13 MP wide-angle lens with its own dual LED flash. Lastly, video performs decently for the category, shooting up to 2K@30fps, and even having the ability to shoot slow-mo up to 120fps. There’s also a bunch of shooting modes, from Super Night, Portrait, and Vlog Mode to Sky Shop, Dual Video, and AI-enhanced options.

Be sure to stick around for our full review to see the HOT 60 Pro+’ camera in action.

Battery: The Real Surprise

You might think that a form factor of this kind would only include a small battery due to its cramped space, and you’re not exactly wrong. After all, a certain major league brand only managed to squeeze 3,900 mAh into their thin and light device. Well, I’m glad to report that the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ isn’t one of those.

Despite the “Paper Thin” form factor, Infinix managed to pack the HOT 60 Pro+ with a massive 5160 mAh battery. Infinix attributes this to their advancements in non-silicon battery technology, which allows for higher energy density without bulking up the phone.

Charging is handled by a 45W fast charger, with the brand claiming 1% to 50% in just 23 minutes, and a full charge in under an hour. You even get 10W reverse charging, so you can juice up other devices in cases of extreme emergency.

Initial Impressions: Thin, Smart, and Not Just for Show

It’s clear Infinix isn’t just here to launch another phone in their widely popular HOT series; they’re aiming for much more. The Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ isn’t just a pretty face—it’s living proof that beauty doesn’t need to compromise, and most of all, doesn’t need to cost an arm and a leg.

It’s shaping up to be a surprisingly well-rounded package with real power, a killer display, solid cameras, and impressive battery life—all packed into one of the slimmest builds we’ve ever held.
