In our first impressions of the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+, we hinted at the idea of Infinix having a budget banger on its hands, combining a unique thin and light design, real power, killer display, and impressive battery—all without thinning you out on paper.
But that’s only the beginning. Having only spent a small amount of time with the HOT 60 Pro+, this time we’re really digging in, putting the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ through its paces, and seeing if it truly lives up to our expectations.

Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s dive right in.
Design: Thin, Light, and Surprisingly Tough
We would be remiss if we didn’t kick things off with what is undoubtedly the most striking aspect of the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+, its design. Measuring just 5.95mm, it’s proof that you don’t need to spend an arm and a leg just to have a capable thin and light device.
Touted as the world’s slimmest 3D-curved AI phone and having an almost “Paper Thin” design, it’s also one of the lightest we’ve held, weighing just 155g.
I’m already visualizing the flood of comments saying “baka naman kapag nilagay ko sa bulsa ko ‘yan eh mabali lang?” and we totally understand the concern. Having lived through the iPhone 6’s bendgate controversy, a thin and light device’s main concern is its rigidity.
Having said that, we’re happy to report that after spending a few weeks with the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ (that’s subjecting it to our day-to-day usage), the phone held up surprisingly well. All thanks to the aerospace-grade aluminum alloy frame, ultra-thin NanoFiber Backshield, and an IP65 dust and water resistance rating.

Display: Way Too Good for This Price
Moving on to the visual feast that is the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+’s display, it features a stunning 6.78-inch 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display, protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Quite surprising, considering that even smartphones that retail for much more than this one only come with a 720p or, if you’re lucky enough, a 1080p display.
All that combined equals about 440 ppi (pixels per inch), which if you’re a pixel peeper, is almost flagship-level numbers. The Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ also supports a 144Hz refresh rate and has the ability to go as bright as 4500 nits, making every interaction smooth and clear, even in direct sunlight.
And as an added bonus, Infinix also kitted this bad boy with a 2160Hz instant touch sampling rate, 2160Hz PWM Dimming, SGS Low Blue Light certification, AI Eye Comfort, and an Always-on Display.
Infinix really is a miracle worker.
Performance: Stays Cool, Even When Things Heat Up
The driving force behind all that is a MediaTek Helio G200 chipset with 8GB of RAM (expandable up to 16GB with extended RAM) and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage (also expandable up to 2TB via microSD).
Let’s switch gears a bit and address the elephant in the room. Yes, despite the big jump in the naming scheme, the Helio G200 only offers a minimal spec bump over the G99/G100 that it followed up. Don’t get us wrong, it’s still a highly capable 4G chip; just don’t expect a huge leap over its predecessors.
So, how does it perform? Surprisingly well, if you ask us. Even with its “paper thin” design, the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ managed to perform well, especially in real-world daily use. Even in our extensive gaming tests, the HOT 60 Pro+ provided a stable and immersive experience.
And despite the HOT moniker, not once did the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ become unbearably hot or thermal throttle during our tests. It’s all thanks to the efficient thermal management system that Infinix implemented in the HOT 60 Pro+, improving heat dissipation by 8% and reducing chipset temperatures by up to 5°C.
Add to that the highly optimized XOS 15.1 based on Android 15. The HOT 60 Pro+ is even certified by TÜV SÜD for 60 months of sustained fluency, promising a consistently smooth experience over an extended period.
Camera: It’s Not Just Pretty—It Snaps, Too
Despite not offering a huge leap in performance over the Helio G99/G100 chip, the G200 does bring about better image processing that the HOT 60 Pro+ definitely takes advantage of, with the help of the 50 MP Sony IMX882 main sensor. While the secondary camera remains a mystery.
Along with the big sensor and better image processing, the camera experience is further improved with advanced features like AI Raw image processing, full pixel autofocus, and 2X lossless zoom for added versatility.
For selfies and video calls, the device sports a 13MP front camera. Both front and rear cameras are capable of recording videos at 1440p@30fps. Additional camera features include HDR, panorama, AI enhancements, and face recognition-based unlocking.

Battery & Charging: Who Said Thin Phones Die Fast?
Probably one of the most impressive feats of the HOT 60 Pro+, aside from the paper-thin design, is its battery. Infinix showed not just the industry, but the world, that a thin and light device’s battery doesn’t have to suck, that it can last a whole day without needing to recharge.
Inside that 5.95mm paper-thin body, lies a 5160 mAh battery. Impressive, considering a flagship with the same thin and light design that costs almost 5X the HOT 60 Pro+’s price can only muster 3900 mAh. Paired with 45W wired fast charging that can go from 0 to 100% in under an hour.
During our own test, we managed to last a full day of mixed use with the HOT 60 Pro+. That’s Browse social media (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok), streaming YouTube videos, and having the occasional MLBB gaming sesh. Even the charging claims hold true as we were able to charge the device in just under an hour.
The Little Things That Make a Big Difference
AI, basically almost every smartphone has them, but are they useful though? Here’s where the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ differs from the rest. Offering a comprehensive suite of AI-powered features that does more than being just a gimmick.
Leading that charge is the company’s One-Tap Infinix AI, a dedicated AI button that provides instant, on-screen assistance, allowing users to effortlessly access context-aware support tailor-made for what’s currently going on.
Further enhancing the user experience, the device integrates advanced AI tools, including those powered by Google Gemini AI. This brings features like AI Call Translation for real-time conversations, AI Voice/Call Summarizers for capturing key details, and Google’s intuitive Circle to Search for instant on-screen searches.
Final Verdict: Looks Good, Works Even Better
After putting the HOT 60 Pro+ to its paces, we can safely say that Infinix’s first foray into the budget thin and light device segment is a success. Delivering on its promise of “Paper Thin, Power In,” it offers a compelling blend of cutting-edge design, a vibrant and fluid display, capable performance for daily use and gaming, a versatile camera system, and exceptional battery life with rapid charging, all without breaking the bank.
