Display
The Infinix NOTE 30 5G’s display has a considerably greater refresh rate than the other two screens, making it ideal for gaming and binge-watching your favorite shows. However, both displays are almost identical. While the TECNO Spark 10 Pro only has a 90Hz display, the Note 30 5G features a 120Hz display. With this, the Infinix NOTE 30 5G has a much better display!
Camera
Regarding with the camera of the two smartphones, there is a huge difference. The Infinix NOTE 30 5G has a camera setup of 108 + 2MP + QVGA rear / 16MP front while the TECNO Spark 10 Pro has a camera setup of 50 + 2 cams rear / 32MP front .
Here are the sample photos, first will be the Infinix NOTE 30 5G:
Image quality in outdoor settings is decent. The 108 MP main camera captured sharp and detailed images with good color reproduction. The 8 MP ultra-wide camera also takes good photos, with a wide field of view that is perfect for capturing landscapes or group shots.
Next is the portrait mode. The quality is generally good for the most part, the camera is able to blur the background and keep the subject in focus, even in challenging lighting conditions. The colors are also well-reproduced, and the skin tones are natural. There are some minor light bleed after the blur effect has been applied but nevertheless, this doesn’t feel like a sub-10K camera sensor.
The Infinix NOTE 30 5G’s night mode can deliver respectable results. Despite the low light settings, the photographs are properly exposed and contain enough details to recognize whatever you’re shooting.
Meanwhile, the Infinix NOTE 30 5G’s 16MP selfie camera has a f/2.0 aperture that’s located in a punch-hole cutout in the center of the display. In well-lit conditions, this phone’s snapper can capture IG-worthy selfies. The colors are accurate and the details are sharp. However, there is one problem, the camera struggles in low-light conditions; the images are grainy and the details are lost. Not quite the workhorse in terms of selfies.
Next is the TECNO Spark 10 Pro:
Low-light photography is not recommended; the rear cameras work best in well-lit settings to produce sharp, detailed shots. As can be seen from the photographs above, the details are considerably easier to discern in an area with good lighting.
There is nothing unique about the portrait mode; it is only adequate. The main subject is barely in focus, and there are instances when the blur is rather forceful. The 50MP sensor is undoubtedly helpful in capturing details, but as the images above show, the software powering behind the rear cameras isn’t quite up to par.
We should not expect the best-looking pictures; the TECNO Camon is better suited for that role. The images are decent enough for regular captures, such as documents and online classes.
Lastly, the video’s quality suffers because it is fixed at 1080P. Also, the colors are bleached. As the phone is advertised as a selfie phone, this is to be anticipated.
Operating system
Both Operating Systems are almost the same and offer the same level of function. The best choice for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences. If you are looking for a budget-friendly device with a long battery life and good performance, then TECNO HiOS 12 is a good option. If you are looking for a more powerful device with more features and security, then Infinix’s XOS is a better choice.
Thing is, Infinix’s UI is a bit more efficient because the NOTE 30 5G’s processor is a little bit better than TECNO’s. It is also more clean and intuitive.
Performance
The Infinix NOTE 30 5G sports a Mediatek Dimensity 6080 processor, which significantly increases its capabilities over the TECNO Spark 10 Pro which only has a Helio G88 processor. Due to its increased clock speeds, the Dimensity 6080 is more powerful than the Helio G88 processor and can can be used for a variety of tasks like gaming and multitasking. It is also 5G capable, meaning better network speeds.
The AnTuTu scores of both smartphones can be seen below:
Infinix NOTE 30 5G has the edge over TECNO Spark 10 Pro in this regard. It has a far better processor and GPU performance. But, TECNO Spark 10 Pro has a bigger storage combo, 16+256GB while Infinix only has a maximum storage combo of 8+128GB.
Price
The Infinix NOTE 30 5G is priced at ₱9,499 which is significantly more costly than the TECNO Spark 10 Pro which is only priced at ₱7,699 for the base variant
Conclusion
In conclusion, both phones are great options for mid-range phones on a budget. The Infinix NOTE 30 5G has a better processor, display, rear camera and operating system, while the TECNO phone has a better selfie camera and it is more inexpensive. Ultimately, the best phone for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences.
