Infinix ZERO Flip: 5 Reasons Why It’s a Great (or Not-So-Great) Buy

Here are the five reasons why the Infinix ZERO Flip is a great buy, and the not-so-great ones.

Astonishingly charming and versatile, the Infinix ZERO Flip aims at empowering content creators with style. But at a price of almost 30K, will it be totally worth it?

Let’s start with performance in MediaTek Dimensity 8020, 8GB RAM, and 512GB ROM. That’s a decent setup with a big room for pics and vids.

The phone’s main purpose lies in its cameras. Two 50MP lenses at the back and a lone 50MP at the front, both with dual-LED flash setup. Flexing the handset to Hover mode, you can easily use the rear cameras to take photos and record videos. This mode also lets you take a quick glance of useful info and access the phone’s content without unfolding it.

Besides mobile photography, the Infinix ZERO Flip features good entertainment prowess with the 6.9-inch 1080p 120Hz LTPO AMOLED primary display, paired with stereo speakers, Hi-Res sound, and JBL audio engine.

The 3.64 inches cover screen is also AMOLED and sports a 120 refresh rate and 1056p resolution and these goodies:

  • Cute 3D pets.
  • Multifunctional cards
  • Customizable app list for quick access

You can record 4K videos on both front and back cameras. The only difference is the support for higher FPS and better stabilization. Battery life shouldn’t be a major deal with the 4,720mAh capacity and 70W rapid charging.

Reasons Why It’s a Great Buy

  • Hover mode for convenient positioning and native stability.
  • LTPO display for longer standby time.
  • Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for the cover screen and back panel.
  • Up to Android 16 software upgrades + 3 years of security patches.
  • Good hinge design and less visible crease.

Not-So-Great Reasons

  • No ingress protection.
  • No bypass charging.
  • No wireless charging.
  • Weak processor for its price.
  • Small RAM for its price.

The price-to-performance ratio is the biggest downside of the Infinix ZERO Flip. That’s the same processor powering the Infinix ZERO 30 5G.

In comparison, the TECNO PHANTOM V Flip has a slightly better processor in Dimensity 8050, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB ROM. This flip phone features a 6.9-inch 1080p 120Hz LTPO AMOLED as well for an SRP of below 20K.
