iOS 26.1 Drops Next Week: New AI Tricks and Smarter Features Coming

1) More Languages for Apple Intelligence & Live Translation

iOS 26.1 brings support for eight new languages in Apple Intelligence and five additional languages for AirPods Live Translation. That means users in regions such as China, Turkey, Scandinavia, and Vietnam will gain richer language-based AI tools.

2) User Interface Tweaks and Gestures

You can now disable the lock-screen camera swipe to avoid accidental launches.
The Clock app gets a “slide to stop” gesture for alarms and timers.
Apple Music now supports swiping the mini-player left or right to skip songs without opening the full player.
The Liquid Glass visual design gains a toggle so users can pick between “Clear” (high transparency) and “Tinted” (more opaque) modes for better readability.

3) Improved Security Update System
