A green line on an alleged iPhone 16 device has started a commotion on social media.
Have you heard of green lines on phone screens? They are no fun and are just plain annoying. The band of dread seemed to have shown itself on the latest iPhone 16 series. Is this true?
On Reddit, a user showed a picture of their iPhone 16 Pro with a single strand of the popular green line. It got attention as expected and some suggested that they should head to the Apple Store.
But not everyone is convinced. Some say that the green line should have not changed color or faded out on white text.
Others countered with one saying that while the green line is harder to see on white, adjusting the display colors will make it visible. Another said that it can happen to iPhones with OLED panels.
As of writing, it looks like the issue is isolated as no other reports have surfaced. Was the original poster stirring up a commotion?
Regardless, OLEDs are known to be prone to green lines and these notorious anomalies have been seen across brands, including Apple, Samsung, and OnePlus. The iPhone X, back then, was reported with green lines too.
What do you think?
