Apple‘s 20th anniversary iPhone lineup could bring more than just a new design. A new leak suggests both the rumored iPhone 20 Pro and iPhone 20 Pro Max will feature larger displays, with Apple also reportedly working on a new front design that could make the phones appear almost bezel-free.
The latest information comes from reliable Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, who is reiterating an earlier claim while adding new details about the smaller Pro model.
According to the tipster, the iPhone 20 Pro Max is still expected to feature a 7-inch display, slightly larger than the 6.9-inch screen found on the current iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The latest leak also claims the iPhone 20 Pro will receive a display upgrade of its own, growing from the 6.3-inch panel on the iPhone 17 Pro to 6.4 inches.
While the increase isn’t dramatic, it would continue Apple’s gradual trend of expanding display sizes across its Pro lineup.
Despite the larger displays, both models are said to retain the same aspect ratio as the iPhone 17 Pro series.
However, Apple is reportedly preparing a new quad-curved front design, with the display curving slightly along all four edges.
Combined with thinner bezels, the design is expected to create a nearly bezel-less appearance, giving the anniversary iPhones a more immersive look without significantly changing the phones’ proportions.
Apple has yet to reveal how the design will differ from current iPhones, but the leaked details suggest the focus is on maximizing screen space while keeping the devices familiar to use.
Why “iPhone 20”?
Some reports refer to Apple’s 2027 flagship as the iPhone 20 rather than the expected iPhone 19.
The reason is simple: 2027 marks the 20th anniversary of the original iPhone, which debuted in 2007. Similar to how Apple celebrated the iPhone’s 10th anniversary with the iPhone X, many believe the company could use the milestone to introduce a special-generation iPhone and adopt new branding.
Apple has not confirmed the naming strategy, but several recent leaks have already referred to the anniversary models as the iPhone 20 series.
Still a rumor for now
As with previous reports, Apple has yet to officially confirm the anniversary iPhone lineup or its display sizes.
For now, the rumored 6.4-inch iPhone 20 Pro, 7-inch iPhone 20 Pro Max, and the new quad-curved bezel-minimizing design should all be treated as unofficial until Apple makes an announcement.
