Instead of being an extra, the iPhone SE 4 will be turned into iPhone 16e, getting the iPhone 16 branding.

Everyone is looking forward to the fourth-generation iPhone SE, set for launch next year. While the SE labeling is fine, interested peeps are getting some good news. Bye iPhone SE 4, hi iPhone 16e!

According to a report, tipster “Fixed Focus Digital” claims that Apple may ditch the SE branding. It suggests that the upcoming iPhone SE handset will become iPhone 16e – the fifth model of the series.

Will it get an iPhone 16 treatment? The tipster said that the iPhone 16e has the same screen size as the base iPhone 16 with full-screen design to boot. So, that’s 6.1 inches with 60Hz of refresh rate and possibly a resolution of 1,179 x 2,556 pixels.

Other expected specs of the iPhone 16e include:

  • Apple A18 chipset
  • 48MP Sony Exmor IMX904 main camera
  • 12MP selfie camera
  • 3,279mAh battery
  • 20W fast charging
  • Qi and MagSafe wireless charging
  • IP68 dust and water resistance

Whether it’s SE 4 or 16e, the alleged iPhone features big upgrades compared to its predecessor. The iPhone SE 3 only has 12MP main camera, 7MP selfie shooter, and 2,018mAh battery, to name a few.

As for the price, the iPhone 16e may land between the $499 and $549 price range, or around PHP 29K minimum when directly converted.
