iQOO 10 Pro Beats Realme GT Neo 3 in Charging Speed Game

There’s news of a phone with a 200W charger, and no, it’s not from realme.

When it comes to battery life, there’s already a trend developing. It should at least be 5000mAh, be at least supported by 30W fast charging (or even quicker), and USB-C. Not that the last criteria matters, and since the EU is pushing for universality on electronics charging and reducing carbon footprint, this might be the default soon.

And speaking about charging, iQOO is now gearing up competition for the fastest charging smartphone. The iQoo 10 Pro is rumored to support 200W of fast charging.

iQOO, a Chinese offshoot of vivo, started in 2019 as the provider of premium flagship-level devices. Most of the products were exclusive to China until they found fans in other countries, mostly in the Asian region.

The new device isn’t exactly released yet, but Twitter tech leaker Digital Chat Station revealed some clues about the 200W charging-supported device. It even has speed wireless charging capability at 60W. Fans of the iQoo series can only gawk at how fast the device will charge.

If this is true, the device might go beyond the record set by the Realme GT Neo 3, currently the world’s fastest charging phone.

However, there are concerns regarding fast charging – this might mean faster degradation for the LiPo battery cells, and this could mean a phone that would only last for less than 2 years. Regardless, this is a massive leap in terms of mobile charging capability.
