The upcoming iQOO 16 has surfaced in another leak, revealing more of what could be one of the brand’s most gaming-focused flagship smartphones. The latest details point to an 8,500mAh battery, premium stereo speakers, flagship haptics, and Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon chipset.
The information comes from reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, who shared new details about an engineering prototype currently being tested.
Flagship gaming hardware
According to the leak, the iQOO 16 prototype is powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor.
To enhance the gaming experience, the phone is also said to feature 1115-series symmetrical dual stereo speakers, offering flagship-grade audio performance.
The leak further claims the device will include a 0916-series X-axis linear motor for more precise vibration feedback during gaming and everyday use.
Also onboard is a dedicated graphics chip, which is expected to improve gaming performance by handling graphics-related tasks independently of the main processor.
For security, the phone is tipped to feature a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.
8,500mAh battery reportedly confirmed
One of the biggest highlights is the battery.
While Digital Chat Station didn’t mention the exact capacity in the original post, the tipster later responded to questions in the comments, effectively confirming that the iQOO 16 will pack an 8,500mAh battery.
This isn’t the first time the figure has appeared in leaks. Last month, reports also pointed to the same battery capacity alongside several other flagship specifications.
Premium display and durability
The latest leak also claims the iQOO 16 will offer several premium features, including:
- IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance
- USB 3.2 connectivity
- AR film layer on the display for improved viewing experience
- OV50Q main camera sensor
Previous reports also suggested the phone will feature a 2K flat display built with a new custom display material, along with an ultra-high refresh rate designed to improve gaming and multimedia performance.
iQOO 16 Ultra may not arrive
Another recent leak claimed that iQOO may skip the iQOO 16 Ultra this generation due to rising memory costs.
If that report proves accurate, the standard iQOO 16 will become the flagship model of the series.
