The iQOO 16 has leaked with a 165Hz 2K Samsung display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, 8,500mAh battery, and a redesigned rear camera module.
The latest details come from Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, following the phone’s reported 3C certification in China. The certification points to a possible launch in late September or early October.

The iQOO 16 will use a 6.85-inch Samsung-made flat display with a 2K resolution and 165Hz refresh rate.
The display size and resolution match the iQOO 15, which also uses a 6.85-inch 3,168 × 1,440 panel. The refresh rate, however, moves from 144Hz to 165Hz, giving the new model a faster display for gaming and scrolling.
The biggest performance upgrade is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, listed under model number SM8975.
The phone also gets a dedicated display chip, adding another piece of hardware aimed at gaming and high-refresh-rate performance.
iQOO is also changing the phone’s rear design.
Engineering units reportedly retain a similar frame and screen-corner shape to the iQOO 15, but the rear camera decoration is significantly different. The cameras move into a small square module in the upper-left corner.
The main camera uses an OV50Q sensor. The leak does not reveal the complete camera setup or the sensor’s megapixel count.
Battery capacity is another major upgrade. The iQOO 16 is reportedly equipped with an 8,500mAh battery, alongside 100W wired charging and wireless charging.
The phone also gets 1115-series symmetrical dual speakers and a 0916-series X-axis linear motor, adding to its gaming-focused hardware.
A Vivo V2606A recently appeared on Chinese certification platforms and is rumored to be the iQOO 16, although this connection remains unconfirmed.
iQOO has not yet announced the phone’s official launch date, pricing, or complete specifications.
