Probably one of the best mid-range phones this year!
The latest addition to the Z7 series in India is the officially unveiled iQOO Z7 Pro. It brings comprehensive improvements compared to the iQOO Z7 launched back in March. Notably, the Z7 Pro showcases a larger, curved 6.78-inch AMOLED display featuring FHD+ resolution and a high refresh rate of 120Hz. It retains the in-display fingerprint sensor and houses a 16MP front-facing camera within a punch-hole cutout.
At its core, the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset takes the lead, supported by 8GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB. The rear of the device is a 64MP main camera equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 2MP depth sensor. We had the opportunity to assess the Z7 Pro’s camera capabilities last week, and you can find photo and video samples available for viewing.
Powering the device is a 4,600 mAh battery that boasts rapid charging capabilities of up to 66W. iQOO asserts that this fast charging technology can deliver a charge of 1-50% in just 22 minutes. On the software side, the device operates with Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13, with iQOO committing to provide 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of security patches. Moreover, the device is also IP52 certified, rendering it resistant to dust and water.
The iQOO Z7 Pro is offered in colors named Blue Lagoon and Graphite Matte. Pricing commences at INR 23,999 ($290/₱16,371) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version is priced at INR 24,999 ($302/₱19,837). The device is set to be available for open sales starting September 5 through both iQOO India’s official channels and Amazon, with the sales commencing at 12 noon IST time.
