itel S24 series has arrived with the base version now launched. Will we get a plus version too?
itel just rolled out its next lineup: the itel S24 series. The first device of the series is the base model, powered by MediaTek Helio G91.
The itel S24 also comes with a 108MP main camera and it supports electronic image stabilization and 3x in-sensor zoom. If you haven’t heard of that zooming technique, it’s usually observed much better than optical zoom.
A true in-sensor zoom crops the image with the center zoomed in, mimicking other zooming techniques. But it often leads to zero or very minimal loss in detail, making it a better alternative to digital zoom. However, in-sensor zoom requires good hardware to prevent detail loss.
As for other specs, the itel S24 has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 480 nits. The smartphone features virtual RAM expansion and a microSD card slot as well.
The configurations of itel S24 are likely 4+128GB, 8+128GB, and 8+256GB. The device seems priced at USD 150 or ₱8,427.15.
Last year, itel revealed S23 in June and launched S23+ in September.
