Built for Gaming Performance

According to the leak, the REDMI K90 Ultra could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. Unlike previous Ultra models that used “Plus” versions of MediaTek’s flagship chips, this model may use the standard Dimensity 9500 as MediaTek reportedly has no plans to release a 9500+ variant this year.

One of the biggest highlights is the rumored built-in cooling fan. If true, this would mark the first Xiaomi-group smartphone with active cooling, designed to maintain stable performance and prevent thermal throttling during long gaming sessions.

Large Battery and Fast Charging

The REDMI K90 Ultra is also tipped to feature a massive 8,500mAh battery, which could make it one of the largest batteries seen in a flagship-level smartphone. Some reports suggest the capacity could even increase further as internal testing continues.

For charging, the device is expected to support 100W wired fast charging, potentially with compatibility for high-power PPS charging standards.

High-Refresh-Rate Display

On the front, the phone is rumored to sport a large 6.8-inch flat display with 1.5K resolution and an ultra-smooth 165Hz refresh rate, making it suitable for high-frame-rate gaming titles.

Additional features mentioned in the leak include a metal frame, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and IP68-level water resistance. Despite the large battery, the device could reportedly maintain a relatively slim profile of around 8.5mm thickness.

Possible Launch Timeline

The REDMI K90 Ultra is rumored to launch around May or June 2026 in China. Like previous Ultra models in the K-series lineup, the device may remain exclusive to the Chinese market.

If the leaked specifications turn out to be accurate, the Redmi K90 Ultra could become one of the most gaming-focused phones in the REDMI lineup, combining active cooling, a high refresh rate display, and a very large battery for extended gameplay sessions.
