Lenovo just unveiled the Lenovo Tab M9, a new low-cost Android tablet, along with a variety of updated laptops, Chromebooks, and all-in-one desktop PCs.
It’s a sub-$150 tablet with a 9-inch HD display, MediaTek’s Helio G80 SoC, and a 5,100mAh battery, so it should be excellent for content consumption. The Lenovo Tab M9 sports a beautiful dual-tone metal body with a slim profile for a pleasant grip, despite its low price. It has a large 9-inch display on the front, as was already announced. Although not the best, the display’s 1340 x 800 pixel quality is respectable given the tablet’s price.
Specs
The Lenovo Tab M9 has an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 CPU inside, along with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Although it isn’t appropriate for gaming, this combination should provide a fluid experience when reading content or engaging in simple chores like web browsing. The tablet will come pre-installed with Android 12 software, but Lenovo has promised to upgrade it to Android 13 after it is released.
The device also has twin speakers, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth connectivity, a 5,100mAh battery with 15W wired fast charging capabilities, and software enhancements like a Reading Mode. It’s a bonus that Lenovo will also include a transparent case with a kickstand with the tablet.
Pricing and availability
According to Lenovo, the Tab M9 will be available in the second quarter of 2023. For the base 3GB+32GB model, it will start at $139.99 which is about Php 7,730 and come in two colors. Lenovo has not yet disclosed the prices for the models with better specifications.
