Unisoc is going mainstream after confirming Android 15 software release for its 4G and 5G chipsets.
It’s not a secret that many see Unisoc as a minor player in the smartphone segment. If you own a smartphone powered by Unisoc, you might have felt left out.
But here’s good news to all Unisoc-powered smartphone owners! You could receive a major OS upgrade, specifically the newest Android 15.
According to a report, the Chinese semiconductor firm has announced its completion of Android 15 upgrade. This means that many of its chipsets are now compatible with Android 15 software developed by brands.
The following chipsets included in the Android 15 upgrade are:
- 5G chipsets:
- T820
- T770
- T765
- T760
- T750
- 4G chipsets:
- T620
- T619
- T616
- T615
- T612

Key features delivered by the Android 15 upgrade include performance enhancements, better security, and improved user experience. Frame rates are more stable when gaming and resources are now optimized across all functions, including the camera.
The official Android 15 upgrade will still depend on the brand of your device, however. This is because of the custom UI added to the vanilla OS. By default, your phone should receive major upgrades within two years since its debut on the market.
Some of the smartphones, now available in the country, powered by Unisoc chipsets included in the list above are itel P65, nubia Neo 2 5G, realme Note 50, and TECNO SPARK Go 1.
