MediaTek Dimensity 9400 destroys the Apple A18 Pro in GPU performance and efficiency

The latest flagship, MediaTek Dimensity 9400, showed excellent performance and efficiency on three benchmarking tests.

Doubters of MediaTek chipset should know that the chipmaker is making strides. The newest powerhouse offering – Dimensity 9400 – fared extremely well against the Apple A18 Pro.

The Dimensity 9400 showcased how efficient it is on dishing out raw performance and powerful graphics rendering, as per tests by @Golden_Reviewer.

In the Solar Bay ray tracing test, the chipset scored 11,817 points with 11.4 power consumption rate and overall efficiency of 1,034.8. The values represented around 30% more efficiency over the A18 Pro. The processor even smashed its predecessor D9300, Exynos 2400, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

In 3DMark Steel Nomad Light, the Dimensity 9400 won by a huge margin against A18 Pro, representing a 40% difference. The chipset could deliver solid graphical performance on graphics-hungry apps and games.

In 3DMark Wildlife Extreme, the processor overtook rivals, including A18 Pro, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 custom for Galaxy devices, and D9300 with ease.

Compared to its predecessor, Dimensity 9400 boasts major leaps like:

  • 41% increased performance
  • 40% faster ray tracing
  • 44% less power consumption
  • 35% less energy consumption on the NPU 890

The device powered by the Dimensity 9400 on those tests was the vivo X200 Pro. These duo scored over 3 million points on AnTuTu!
