MediaTek has today introduced the Dimensity 9400, a cutting-edge flagship chipset designed to deliver exceptional performance and efficiency. Built on TSMC’s 3nm N3E process, this powerful SoC boasts a formidable CPU, a state-of-the-art GPU, and advanced AI capabilities.

At the heart of the Dimensity 9400 is a powerful CPU architecture featuring a Cortex-X925 super-performance core clocked at 3.63GHz, along with three Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores. This configuration delivers a substantial 35% boost in single-core performance and a 28% improvement in multi-core performance compared to its predecessor.
The graphics prowess of the Dimensity 9400 is fueled by the Immortalis-G925 GPU, which offers a remarkable 41% performance increase, 40% faster ray tracing capabilities, and a 44% reduction in power consumption.
AI tasks are handled by the efficient NPU 890, which consumes 35% less energy while enabling impressive features like corrective fill for sharper images, 100x zoom with exceptional detail, and improved power efficiency during 4K video capture at 60fps.
The Imagiq 1090 ISP ensures consistent HDR video quality across the entire zoom range, eliminating the need to compromise image quality when switching between zoom levels and lenses.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9400 is the first chipset to support the latest LPDDR5X RAM at 10.7Gbps, and it also boasts a significant increase in L2 and L3 cache for enhanced performance.
MediaTek is already shipping the Dimensity 9400 to OEMs, and we can expect to see this flagship platform powering devices like the Oppo Find X8 in November and the vivo X200 series later this month, as well as the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 series.
