Microsoft also unveiled the Surface Laptop 5 in addition to the Surface Pro 9 and Surface Studio 2+. It weighs about 1.29kg and is a slim, portable notebook. It has a 14.5mm thickness. The Surface Laptop 5 is available in two screen sizes and is powered by 12th generation Intel processors.
Screen sizes for the Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 range from 13.5 to 15 inches. The device’s PixelSense display supports Dolby Vision IQ and has a resolution of 2256 x 1504 pixels, a 3:2 aspect ratio, with a contrast ratio of 1300:1. Windows 11 Home is already installed on the gadget.
The Intel Core i5-1235U/i7-1255U processor is included in the 13.5-inch Surface Laptop, while the Core i7-1255U chip is included in the 15-inch model. All models have 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of SSD storage and 8 GB, 16 GB, or 32 GB of LPDDR5x RAM.
The 13.5-inch model has a battery life of up to 18 hours, while the bigger variant has a battery life of up to 17 hours. It has 1 x USB-C Thunderbolt 4, 1 x USB-A, 1 x Surface Connect connector, a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, and Bluetooth 5.0 connection.
It also has Windows Hello facial recognition, Surface Pen support, Omnisonic speakers with Dolby Atmos, and dual far-field microphones. Finally, the 13.5-inch model has an Alcantara keyboard finish.
The Surface Laptop 5 comes in four colors Platinum, Sage, Black, and Sandstone. The 13.5-inch variant starts at $999 or ₱58,859 whereas the 15-inch edition starts at $1,299 or ₱76,534. It will be available for purchase in different markets starting on October 25th.
