Motorola has officially confirmed the launch date of its next premium smartphone. The Motorola Edge 70 Max will make its debut in India on July 15, bringing flagship hardware, a redesigned look, and support for magnetic wireless charging.
Ahead of the launch, the company has already revealed several of the phone’s key features through official teasers.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 powers the edge 70 Max
At the heart of the Motorola Edge 70 Max is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, positioning the smartphone as a flagship option built for high performance and improved power efficiency.
To keep temperatures under control during gaming and demanding workloads, Motorola has equipped the Edge 70 Max with its ArcticMesh cooling system, featuring a 5,500mm² vapor cooling chamber designed to dissipate heat more efficiently and help maintain sustained performance.
Quad HD+ display with up to 7,000 nits brightness
The Edge 70 Max will also feature a premium Quad HD+ LTPO display with a 144Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling, gaming, and animations.
Motorola says the panel is capable of reaching an impressive 7,000 nits of peak brightness, making it one of the brightest smartphone displays announced to date and improving outdoor visibility in bright sunlight.
The edge 70 Max packs a 7,100mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging.
The edge 70 Max also introduces magnetic wireless charging, marking a new direction for Motorola’s premium smartphone lineup.
Flat design replaces curved display
The edge 70 Max also brings a noticeable design change.
Unlike earlier edge series smartphones that featured curved displays, the new model adopts a flat-frame design with slim display bezels, giving it a more modern appearance.
Official promotional images also show a square-shaped triple-camera module on the rear panel, mounted on a flat back design.
The smartphone will be available in at least two color options:
- Light Blue
- Sage Green
Availability
The Motorola Edge 70 Max is set to launch in India on July 15.
Following the announcement, the smartphone will be available through Flipkart, Motorola’s official website, and authorized retail stores across the country.
Motorola is expected to reveal the phone’s complete specifications, pricing, and availability during the official launch event.
