Motorola has officially launched the Edge 70 Pro in India, expanding its Edge 70 lineup with a feature-packed upper midrange smartphone that puts battery life, display quality, and durability front and center.

The new device joins the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, which arrived earlier in March, and the standard Edge 70 that debuted late last year. With a slim design, large silicon-carbon battery, and flagship-style features, the Edge 70 Pro looks built to compete aggressively in its segment.

Up front, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution. It supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz for smoother scrolling and gaming, while peak brightness reaches an impressive 5,200 nits for improved outdoor visibility.
That combination gives the phone a strong edge for users who prioritize multimedia and gaming.
Under the hood, Motorola equips the Edge 70 Pro with the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset.
The processor is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage, giving the device fast memory speeds and responsive performance for multitasking, gaming, and day-to-day use.

On the rear, the Edge 70 Pro carries a dual-camera system led by a 50MP Sony Lytia 710 main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS).
It is joined by a 50MP ultrawide camera, while a multispectral sensor and LED flash round out the setup.
For selfies, Motorola adds another 50MP front-facing camera with autofocus, giving the phone unusually strong front camera hardware for its class.
Battery life is one of the biggest highlights here.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro packs a large 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery while maintaining a slim 7.29mm profile. It supports 90W wired fast charging and also includes 5W wired reverse charging.
That means users get both long endurance and the ability to top up other accessories when needed.
Motorola is also leaning into durability and premium extras.
The Edge 70 Pro comes with:
- IP68 and IP69 dust/water resistance
- MIL-STD 810H certification
- Under-display fingerprint scanner
- Dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos
- Corning Gorilla Glass 7i front protection
- Plastic frame construction
- Weight of around 190g
Connectivity options include dual 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Wi-Fi 6E, and GPS.
The phone ships with Android 16 pre-installed. Motorola is promising three years of Android OS updates, alongside ongoing security patches.
