Motorola has officially confirmed the launch date of the upcoming Edge 70 Pro after a wave of teasers, while also revealing several key specifications ahead of its debut.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro will launch in India on April 22 and will be available through Flipkart, Motorola’s official online store, and offline retail channels.
Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset, paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM. To keep temperatures under control, Motorola is equipping the device with a 4,600 mm² vapor cooling chamber.
Up front, the Edge 70 Pro features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 5,200 nits, making it one of the brighter panels in its category.
For cameras, Motorola is going all-in with a strong imaging package. The rear gets a triple-camera setup led by a 50MP Sony Lytia 710 main sensor with OIS, alongside a 50MP ultrawide camera and a multispectral sensor. Selfies are handled by a 50MP front camera.
Battery capacity is equally notable, with a 6,500mAh battery backed by 90W fast charging support.
The phone will ship with Android 16 out of the box. Motorola is promising 3 years of OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates, while several AI-powered features are also included.
Other confirmed highlights include Gorilla Glass 7i front protection, IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, plus Hi-Res Audio with Dolby Atmos support.
Color options include Pantone Lily White, Pantone Tea, and Pantone Titan.
With flagship-tier display specs, large battery capacity, and a camera-heavy setup, the Edge 70 Pro is shaping up to be one of Motorola’s most ambitious launches this year.
