The Motorola Edge 70 Ultra is stepping into the spotlight early. A new Google Play Console listing confirms the use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. This is Qualcomm’s next generation flagship chip and it is expected to deliver bigger leaps in raw performance and AI capability.
The listing also reveals a 1220p display. The resolution sits right between Full HD and Quad HD and has become a sweet spot for sharp visuals and better battery efficiency.
Certification trail grows
The device already showed up in the TDRA database. That listing hinted that Motorola had something major lined up for its next Ultra model. The new processor confirmation simply reinforces that the phone is moving steadily toward launch.
Motorola tends to follow a predictable schedule. The Edge 50 Ultra launched months before Qualcomm unveiled its latest chipset. With that pattern, the Edge 70 Ultra could be positioned for an earlier announcement next year.
Camera upgrades expected
Details on the camera system remain thin, but early leak chatter points to sensor improvements and more refined stabilization. None of this is confirmed yet, although it lines up with Motorola’s recent approach to photography.
