Motorola Moto G72 with Helio G99, 108MP camera released in Europe

Motorola is slowly becoming one of the most formidable entry to mid-range choices with their quality releases, and the Moto G72 is no exception

The Motorola Moto G72 recently launched in India over a week ago and now the G72 is also making its mark in the European markets.

The Motorola Moto G72 is powered by the latest MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, a gorgeous 6.6-inch pOLED display with a speedy 120Hz refresh rate that’s becoming a staple among Motorola phones, it also has a 108MP rear camera as part of the whole triple-lens setup. For the selfies, a 16MP shooter will surely go a long way, and more reasons to consider buying a Motorola for your next purchase.

If the 2400 x 1080 resolution won’t convince you, the Motorola Moto G72’s 10-bit color depth, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10, DCI-P3 color gamut, and up to 576Hz touch sampling rate will make your head turn in no time.

We already mentioned the Helio G99 processor, but we didn’t mention it being paired with LPDDR4x RAM and uMCP storage, pretty advanced for a mid-range model.

To top it all off, Motorola has been sticking to the stock-ish Android OS feel with Android 12 running the whole show on top of their proprietary My UX OS that makes current OnePlus users a run for their money after the “punkish” BBK sub-brand sold-out with its clunky UI. The G72 will receive a single OS update and three years of security updates. Not bad!

The Motorola Moto G72 features a triple rear camera system with 108MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro. It has a 16MP shooter on the front for your selfie and video chatting needs.

In the sea of improving specs at the cost of removing beloved hardware features such as the headphone jack, thankfully this retains it. It also has a Dolby Atmos supported dual stereo speakers for that high quality listening experience.

As for the battery, a standard 5,000mAh capacity with 33W fast charger is pretty sweet, but at the same time, it still runs on 4G (not that too big of a deal here in the Philippines), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC and Type-C port.

As of now, it is available in select European countries for the price of just around €260 or a couple of hundred shy of ₱15,000. The smartphone is available in Meteorite Grey, Mineral White, and Polar Blue colorways. As for the availability here in the Philippines, it’s likely to be coming to the country in late 2022 or early 2023, as Motorola has an official store here, so stay tuned.
