Reigniting locally produced laptops, the NAGA SIPAG promises performance, portability, and durability for productive users.
There’s a new local player in the laptop market. The NagaTech just announced its latest entry in NAGA SIPAG.
This compact looking PC on-the-go is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, 16 GB DDR5 RAM, and 512GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. The brand claims that besides being a portable beast, the laptop is durable as well.
Other specs unveiled by the brand include the 14-inch display with 2880 x 1800 pixels, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 100% sRGB, 1080p web camera, and 100 W PD charger. More will be revealed in the coming weeks.
So, how much? According to the brand, the NAGA SIPAG will have an introductory price of PHP 39,995. That’s a bit steep considering there’s no discrete GPU on this laptop.
But if the device is very durable and performs smoothly and reliably, maybe the price is okay for the working class. The parts are imported and fabricated from Taiwan and are assembled locally.
Regardless, it’s great news that local tech brands aren’t totally extinct. NagaTech’s upcoming product is a sign of hope that may rekindle the potential of local firms.
