OnePlus is cooking something new and it’s either the Ace 5s or Ace 5V to rival Redmi’s Turbo 4 Pro.
If you don’t know, the OnePlus Ace 5 Series is now available in China and it comes in two models: the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro. The former is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and the latter has the Snapdragon 8 Elite, so technically, both are flagships.
According to tipster Smart Pikachu, there’s another Ace 5 model in the works. But compared to the first two, the yet-to-be-named device is powered by a Dimensity 9 Series processor. The leak suggests that it’s designed to go toe to toe with the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro.
The tipster also suggested that this Ace smartphone has a large flat display, a new cooling technology, and will score big on benchmarks. That alone means a performance-centric mid-ranger.
If that’s the case, the earlier leak by Digital Chat Station may be pointing at the same device. DCS previously leaked that OnePlus will launch a new handset with either Dimensity 9350 or 9400.
Anyway, Smart Pikachu predicts that the upcoming OnePlus Ace will be launched in the second quarter. It may be rebranded for international markets.
