Elon Musk wants the Tesla Roadster to fly up to six feet high for a short time.
Flying cars are a thing in science fiction but many want to see them in reality, in action. While the speed of tech innovation will propel us to that future, Elon Musk has an idea for an early start.
The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the new Tesla Roadster can fly. Check his post below.

But don’t take it literally because he only mentioned that it can fly. He didn’t say it can sustain flight for hours like in movies or go to space like spacecraft. It’s possible that the new Tesla Roadster can fly for several seconds or a few minutes.
According to a report, the vehicle is a joint project between Tesla and SpaceX and it will have rocket boosters. This upcoming Roadster can go from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 1.9 seconds.
A Tesla Roadster is an electric vehicle with an incredibly sexy design. It’s one of the world’s fastest cars but Musk aims to get zero to 60 mph in under a second. One way to do it is cold air thrusters where compressed air and nuzzles will propel the EV to unbelievable speeds.
Yet those may be inefficient in straight-line speed, which is why some rocket tech is needed. Musk wants the EV to hover safely and up to a meter or six feet high, perhaps for a limited time.
While the idea is grand, there are questions that need answers. Do we have rules about hovering vehicles? Is it an aircraft because it can hover?
What do you think?
