iPhone SE 4 and iPhone 17 Slim may launch with Apple Intelligence out of the box.
Apple Intelligence will become the flagbearer of AI features on smartphones and other mobile devices. However, it comes with a weakness: it demands powerful internals.
It’s bad news at a glance but if you think about it, it means Apple must release next-gen models, including budget ones, with capable hardware to run the Apple Intelligence software suite. This new offering from the company lets users finish tasks quicker by cutting the operations needed.
Siri is the core of Apple Intelligence and with the help of ChatGPT, tasks are easier to deal with. To make it mainstream, A18 chipset is likely the go-to for upcoming Apple devices, including the iPhone SE 4. If not, the next best thing is the A17 Pro.
According to a report, another important hardware upgrade is the memory. Standard iPhone models will have 8 GB while the Pro line will get 12 GB. But take it with a grain of salt.
As for other devices, like HomePad and Mac, the former may have A18 while Macs with M chips won’t have issues, thanks to compatibility.
The iPhone 17 Slim is expected to support Apple Intelligence as well. It’s rumored to be powered by A19 chip and is set to replace the iPhone Plus lineup.
