nubia’s Neo 3 Series product launch just wrapped up, and it’s not just phones that they’ve got in store for us. The event was packed full of surprises and exciting activities that made it more than just a product launch; it was a celebration of nubia’s longevity and popularity in the PH smartphone market.
Held in SM San Lazaro’s Activity Center, the booth itself was pretty small but was efficiently utilized to hold everything that nubia showcases. After registering, fans receive a tote bag of goodies that includes a cellphone holder and a wireless Bluetooth earbud. Also included in the registration is a stub, which lets you experience the Neo 3 Series’ shoulder triggers and RGB lighting.
There’s also a photobooth where fans can take their pic behind the Neo 3 Series Product Launch backdrop. Scattered around models of nubia’s current lineup, including the nubia Music, V70 Max, and V70 Design, are models that fans can hold and test.
As for the event itself, nubia chose to go away with the bog-standard product launch, which sometimes bored audiences with product information; instead, they kept it short and sweet and let the phone do all the talking. Present in the event are nubia and ZTE’s top brass in the Philippines.
To showcase the Neo 3 Series’ gaming prowess, nubia enlisted their partner Mobile Legends: Bang Bang E-Sports team, the Fnatic ONIC PH. Fans even had the chance to play with ONIC PH through a 5v5 game of ML:BB. It was quite thrilling with fans never wavering in their excitement, which you can hear from their cheers.
While it was obvious that ONIC PH was slated to win, the chosen fans did put up an admirable fight. It was also not in vain, as the challengers did win the phone they were using, which was a nubia Neo 3 GT 5G.
We saved the best for last. nubia’s brand ambassador, Jillian Ward, was also present at the event, showcasing her talent as one of PH’s rising stars. Fans also had the opportunity to meet them on stage along with winning a phone through nubia’s draw lot. Quite generous if you think of it.
We’re not going to lie, our experience with nubia’s product launch is a breath of fresh air from the others we’ve attended. Instead of inviting just the media, nubia chose to make a splash in a public place and let their fans join in on the fun.
