nubia has unveiled the nubia Neo 5 GT at MWC Barcelona 2026. The device is aimed at young gamers and Gen Z users, with a strong focus on cooling performance, gaming controls, and AI-powered features.
The nubia Neo 5 GT stands out as the only phone in its class equipped with a built-in active cooling fan. It features a 29,508mm² cooling area alongside a Through-Flow Duct Design that channels airflow directly over the CPU and battery. The goal is to manage heat efficiently and maintain stable frame rates during extended gaming sessions.

Powering the device is the MediaTek D7400 4nm processor paired with LPDDR5 memory rated at 6400Mbps. Performance is handled by the NeoTurbo Engine, designed to keep frame rates consistent. A 360° Game Antenna ensures stable connectivity regardless of grip orientation.
The phone is certified for 120FPS gameplay on Garena Free Fire and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and it supports 90FPS on Delta Force following its Mid-Season update.
For competitive players, the Neo 5 GT includes 550Hz Neo Triggers 5.0, enabling four-finger controls with sub-5.5ms latency and a 3049Hz touch sampling rate. Magic Touch 3.0 ensures responsiveness even with wet or sweaty fingers.
The device sports a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness. It also carries SGS-certified Eye Care technology to help reduce eye strain during long sessions.
Battery capacity comes in at 6,210mAh using a dual-cell design. The phone supports up to 80W fast charging, while the EU version supports 45W PD charging. Nubia claims the 5% Extreme Mode can deliver up to 23 minutes of gaming or 29 hours of standby. Bypass Charging is also supported, allowing the device to draw power directly during gaming without charging the battery.
The Neo 5 GT features a completely flat back with no camera bump, rounded corners, and a 90° charging cable design for easier landscape gaming. It includes stereo dual speakers with DTS:X Ultra, an X-Axis linear motor, and RGB lighting that reacts during gameplay.
On the software side, AI Game Space 5.0 centralizes performance controls. AI Copilot Demi 2.0 introduces features such as a Gaming Coach, Gaming Chatbot, and Auto-Chat reply function.
For imaging, the phone carries a 50MP AI triple rear camera setup and a 16MP front camera. Additional AI tools include AI Memory, AI Scam Alert, AI Image and Text Generation, and AI Translate.
nubia will begin the global rollout of the Neo 5 GT in Southeast Asia this March, with pricing starting at €399 (₱27,086*).
