nubia is gearing up to release its latest gaming-focused smartphone, the nubia Neo 5 GT, with rollout expected to begin this week as part of its global launch starting in Southeast Asia. The device was recently unveiled at MWC Barcelona, where the company detailed its full specifications.

Built for gaming with active cooling
The Neo 5 GT stands out as the only phone in its segment to feature a built-in active cooling fan, designed to keep thermals in check during extended gaming sessions. It is paired with a large 29,508mm² cooling chamber, helping maintain stable performance for its MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor.
nubia is also equipping the device with several gaming-focused features, including:
- LPDDR Max RAM with speeds up to 6,400Mbps
- 360-degree game antenna for stable connectivity
- 550Hz Neo Triggers 5.0 for responsive controls
- 3,049Hz instant touch sampling rate for faster input response

The phone features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth visuals for gaming and everyday use. It also reaches up to 4,500 nits peak brightness, making it usable even in bright environments.
Powering the device is a 6,210mAh dual-cell battery, supported by 80W wired charging. It also includes bypass charging, allowing users to game while plugged in without overheating the battery.
For photography, the Neo 5 GT comes with a 50MP triple rear camera setup and a 16MP front camera for selfies.

Pricing and availability
The nubia Neo 5 GT is priced starting at €399 (₱27,781*) and will be available in three color options. The first wave of availability is set for Southeast Asia, with a broader global rollout expected to follow.
For context, nubia also introduced the Neo 5 (starting at €299/₱20,818*) and confirmed a Neo 5 Max model with a 7.5-inch display, though detailed specs for the Max variant have not yet been shared.
