OnePlus has announced that its upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 13, will be powered by the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The device is set to be unveiled on October 31.
During a special event on October 23, OnePlus China President Louis Lee discussed the OnePlus 13’s performance and highlighted the significant improvements offered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The chipset’s enhanced performance and energy efficiency, coupled with OnePlus’ proprietary technologies, are expected to deliver an exceptional user experience.
OnePlus 13 Key specifications
The Snapdragon 8 Elite, built on TSMC’s 3nm process, boasts a second-generation Oryon CPU with two super cores at 4.32GHz and six performance cores. This architecture offers a 45% improvement in energy efficiency compared to its predecessor.
The OnePlus 13 will feature up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, making it the industry’s first Android flagship with such massive memory. To fully leverage the chipset’s capabilities, OnePlus has developed the Tidal Engine, a new chip-level solution.
In terms of design, the OnePlus 13 will be available in black, white, and blue color options. It features a redesigned rear panel and a micro-quad-curved BOE X2 OLED display. More details about the device are expected to be revealed in the coming days.
