The performance race between Apple A18 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 has begun.
With the latest reveal of the iPhone 16 Series and the Apple 18 chipset, everyone wants to know if it’s better or just equal to Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. On a benchmark tool, it’s been alleged that the latter outperforms the former.
Courtesy of a leak, the alleged performance scores of the OnePlus 13 on Geekbench surfaced. The rumored device scored 3,236 points on single-core performance and 10,049 points on multi-core performance.
The chipset is detected with only two clusters. Cluster 1 is composed of six cores at 3.53 GHz and Cluster 2 with two cores at 4.32 GHz.
According to a report, the SD 8 Gen 4 outperforms the A18 in both metrics. The latter scored 3,114 on single-core and 6,666 on multi-core. However, manufacturers’ optimizations weren’t included during the benchmark.
Plus, the A18 is the standard chipset and Apple still has the A18 Pro with six GPU cores. The Pro version has been alleged beating SD 8 Gen 2 on single-core performance.
More details about the rumored OnePlus 13 have been revealed as well, including Android 15, 16 GB of RAM, a 6,000 mAh silicon battery, 100 W wired charging, and 50 W wireless charging. It’s also expected to feature a new Hasselblad Master Mode.
