Last month, a Chinese tipster claimed that the OnePlus 16 would feature a display with a minimum refresh rate of 185Hz, with OnePlus reportedly aiming for a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz. However, a new leak from another Chinese tipster suggests the phone’s screen may instead offer a 165Hz refresh rate.
Either way, the OnePlus 16 appears set to retain one of the highest refresh rate displays in the smartphone market. For reference, the OnePlus 15 launched with a 165Hz display, making the rumored 185Hz panel a potential step up for the next-generation model.
The latest leak also claims that the OnePlus 16 will feature a dedicated AI button, continuing the industry’s growing focus on AI-powered smartphone features.
In the camera department, the device is tipped to pack a 200MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
