OnePlus appears to be quietly preparing its next Ace-series heavyweight, and early leaks suggest the upcoming Ace 6 Ultra is aiming straight at the “no compromises” crowd.
Reports indicate that the device is already moving through regulatory steps in China, hinting that a launch could be closer than expected.
According to well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, a OnePlus phone carrying the model number PMB110 has been approved by China’s MIIT certification platform. This device is believed to be the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra, suggesting the phone is nearing its official debut possibly as early as April.
For context, OnePlus has already released the Ace 6 and Ace 6T in China. Interestingly, the Ace 6T later saw a global release under a different name: the OnePlus 15T. Whether the Ace 6 Ultra will follow the same path with a rebranded global variant remains unclear.
On paper, the Ace 6 Ultra is shaping up to be a spec monster. Leaks suggest it will feature a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, pushing well beyond the typical flagship standard.
Another tipster, Bald Panda, claims the device will be powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with a massive 8,500mAh battery. A capacity rarely seen in mainstream smartphones.
Other details remain under wraps for now, leaving questions about cameras, charging speeds, and build design.
The Ace 6 Ultra isn’t entering the ring alone. It’s rumored to go head-to-head with the upcoming REDMI K90 Ultra, which is expected to carry a very similar setup: a 165Hz display, the same Dimensity 9500 chip, and an equally large 8,500mAh battery.
The key difference? The REDMI device is tipped to include a built-in cooling fan, potentially giving it an edge in sustained performance and heat management especially for gaming.
