OnePlus Is gearing up for a new tablet launch

Looks like OnePlus isn’t done building out its tablet lineup just yet. The company’s next slate, the OnePlus Pad 3R, has just cleared FCC certification, which usually means one thing: a launch is right around the corner.

Listed under the model number OPD2408, the Pad 3R is expected to be a more affordable sibling to OnePlus’ mainline tablet series—think of it like the “lite” version of the OnePlus Pad 3. The “R” naming is usually reserved for budget-friendly spinoffs in the OnePlus ecosystem, so don’t expect cutting-edge specs, but do expect something clean, capable, and well-priced.

The FCC listing doesn’t dive deep into specs, but it does confirm the basics: dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and support for Wireless Power Transfer. There’s also talk that this could be a global rebrand of the OnePlus Pad 3, which launched in China last year.

What’s more interesting? A stylus. Yup, the certification also mentions a new OnePlus Pencil (model OPN2405), which could be bundled or sold alongside the Pad 3R. That’s a hint that this tablet might lean into productivity—or at least give users more creative tools right out of the box.

Meanwhile, OnePlus is also reportedly working on a higher-end Pad 2 Pro, said to be based on the OPPO Pad 4 Pro. If leaks are on point, that one could feature a 13.2-inch display, Snapdragon 8 Elite, 12,140mAh battery, and 67W fast charging. That would definitely cater to power users.

So far, OnePlus hasn’t dropped any launch teasers, but given these certifications, both the Pad 3R and Pad 2 Pro feel like they’re almost ready to step into the spotlight. Whether you’re looking for a budget-friendly tablet or something more premium, OnePlus might have both ends of the market covered very soon.
