OnePlus appears to be done keeping secrets. Ahead of its official May 7 Launch in India, the company has nearly confirmed the full specifications of the upcoming OnePlus Nord CE 6, giving buyers an early look at what could become one of the most aggressive midrange releases of 2026.

Set to launch alongside the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite, the Nord CE 6 combines a huge battery, high-refresh AMOLED display, Snapdragon silicon, and durability ratings usually reserved for tougher premium phones.
The standout feature is easily the battery.
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 packs a massive 8,000mAh battery, a capacity that pushes well beyond what most mainstream smartphones currently offer. OnePlus pairs it with 80W fast charging, along with 27W reverse charging, allowing the phone to top up accessories or even other devices.
For users tired of daily charging anxiety, this may be the phone’s strongest selling point.
On the front, the Nord CE 6 features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution.
It also offers a 144Hz refresh rate, putting it ahead of many rivals in smoothness, whether for gaming or general scrolling. OnePlus adds 3840Hz PWM dimming, which should help reduce eye strain during prolonged use, especially in lower brightness settings.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset.
OnePlus is also including a Touch Reflex chip, enabling an ultra-responsive 3200Hz touch sampling rate, which could appeal strongly to mobile gamers.
Thermals are handled by a vapour chamber cooling system measuring over 33,000mm², suggesting the company expects sustained performance under heavy loads.
Photography hardware includes a 50MP rear main camera with dual-axis OIS for improved stabilization.
On the front, users get a 32MP selfie camera. Notably, both the rear and front cameras support 4K video recording, something still not universal in this price segment.
The phone ships with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 and comes loaded with AI-powered editing features, including:
- AI Portrait GLow
- AI Perfect Shot
- AI Eraser
- AI Unblur
- AI Reflection Eraser
- AI Detail Boost
- AI Reframe
OnePlus is also bundling built-in tools for video and music editing.
Audio gets attention too, with dual stereo speakers included.
OnePlus is giving the Nord CE 6 an unusually strong durability package.
The phone carries:
- IP66
- IP68
- IP69
- IP69K water and dust resistance ratings
- MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification
That combination is rare in this category and suggests the Nord CE 6 is being positioned as both powerful and rugged.
The Nord CE 6 will launch in three finishes:
- Fresh Blue
- Lunar Pearl
- Pitch Black
Launching on the same day, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite has also been partially detailed.
It will feature:
- 6.72-inch 144Hz LCD display
- MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex chipset
- 7,000mAh battery
- Hyper Black and Vivid Mint color options
