OPPO’s highly anticipated next-generation book-style foldable, the Find N5, is set to make its debut in the near future. This device will serve as the successor to the Find N3, which was unveiled last October. Notably, Oppo has opted to skip the “4” in the model name, likely due to internal branding decisions.
Powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, the Find N5 will feature a high-resolution “2K+” inner folding screen. The camera system will include a 50MP main sensor utilizing a Sony imaging technology, along with a versatile periscope telephoto lens for advanced zoom capabilities. The device will sport a distinctive circular camera module, adding to its sleek design.
Regarding thickness, the Find N5 is expected to measure just over 9mm, placing it in close proximity to Honor’s Magic V3, currently the thinnest foldable smartphone on the market. While it remains uncertain whether the Find N5 will surpass this record, achieving a sub-10mm profile is undoubtedly a significant accomplishment for a foldable device.
Additional enhancements rumored for the Find N5 include improved water resistance, potentially reaching a higher IPX rating compared to its predecessor’s IPX4 splash resistance. Furthermore, the device may feature a three-stage alert slider, offering users customizable notifications and sound profiles.
The Find N5 is anticipated to launch between January and March, initially targeting the Chinese market. There is a strong possibility that it will be rebranded as the OnePlus Open 2 for international release, ensuring that the impressive features and specifications outlined above will also be available to global consumers.
