The OPPO K10 5G and K10 Pro 5G will be launched in China soon on April 24, 2022. May pre-order na rin sa online store nila (Taobao), where additional specs were included. On OPPO’s official website, they also included a ton of pictures, so we get to see what the actual product looks like.
Hindi malayo ang pinagkaiba ng design ng K10 5G and K10 5G Pro from the K10 4G released in China. The main difference, however, is the camera bump. While mas streamlined at hindi obvious and camera bump ng K10 4G, the OPPO K10 5G features a more raised profile sa camera module.
The styling is quite similar sa Infinix 5G Zero, although hindi siya unibody or uniframe sa OPPO K10 Pro 5G. Meron pa rin dedicated space for the camera mount that is separate from the case itself. Maganda sana kapag ginawa nilang unibody ang OPPO K10 Pro 5G, but for a design choice for the base variant of the new K10 phones, it’s a good deal.
So buy the OPPO K10 5G if you care more about the design, but go for the OPPO K10 Pro 5G for better specs.
Above is a picture of the side profile on the phone, so you’re guaranteed a dedicated power button for both phones. However, side mounted ang fingerprint scanner ni OPPO K10 5G, and under-display naman kay OPPO K10 Pro 5G. May indent ang right side ng phone for the OPPO K10 5G para mabilis hanapin ng daliri for fingerprint scanning.
There’s one speaker grill on the bottom of the K10 5G, and the volume rocker buttons appear to be on the left side.
May bagong gimmick din ang OPPO, and it’s indicated on the website that the OPPO K10 Pro 5G has an even weight distribution, kaya hindi sya i-operate using one hand. Here’s a sample pic of said weight feature.
The main difference between the OPPO K10 5G and the OPPO K10 Pro 5G is the type of display used. Para kay K10 5G, it’s using an IPS LCD display PERO meron din itong 120Hz refresh rate. Pagdating naman kay K10 Pro 5G, it has an AMOLED display na meron na rin 120Hz refresh rate.
As for the resolution, both phones have FHD+. The screen on the K10 Pro 5G is slightly bigger, measuring a total screen size of 6.6”, while the K10 5G only has 6.59” of screen real estate.
Both displays are equally impressive, with the exception of K10 5G’s LCD display. Mas maganda pa rin talaga ang AMOLED for general media consumption, while the IPS LCD panel is actually more ideal for people who want accurate color representation when sharing images for web or print.
The 120Hz display also works well for high-fps games like CODM, Mobile Legends, and Genshin Impact, but we’ll find out soon how this phone performs in terms of gaming.
The OPPO K10 5G is equipped with the Mediatek Dimensity 8000 Max. In fact, eto ang unang phone na gagamit ng Dimensity 8000 Max. The OPPO K10 Pro 5G will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G Processor, so we can expect blazing fast speeds in terms of performance.
The Dimensity 8000 Max enables a multitude of features sa OPPO K10 5G phone, and it surpasses the performance of the Snapdragon 870. Konti nalang ang difference in performance when it comes to the two OPPO K10 series phones, since the Dimensity 8000 Max already surpassed the Snapdragon 870, and the K10 Pro 5G uses a Snapdragon 888.
Mas mabilis ang file transfer because of the UFS 3.1, and storage is based on LPDDR5, which is an upgrade over the OPPO K10 4G’s system. Mas marami ka ng pictures and videos to save, especially if vlogger ka, or “dancerist” sa Tiktok.
Pareho silang 5nm, kaya hindi rin sobrang takaw sa power, and hopefully the OPPO K10 5G series will be a device na you can use for a long time.
The phones both have 5000mAh batteries, with the K10 5G getting a 67W fast charging, while the K10 Pro 5G gets 80W fast charging.
Mas maganda sana kung 120W charging since the two phones are using advance chipsets, but we’ll see if they actually optimize charging support, since the Snapdragon 888 chipset supports fast charging to full battery in just 15 mins. Imagine, kailangan mo lang mag coffee break and you’ll have the phone ready for more gaming sessions or photoshoots.
The Mediatek Dimensity 8000 Max is a variation of the Dimensity 8100 chipset, the same processor found in the realme GT Neo 3, so we might actually see faster charging speeds of under 15 minutes sa OPPO K10 5G.
There’s also a cooling system for both phones. The OPPO K10 5G has advanced VC cooling tech, as shown in the graphic below. Nasa Chinese nga lang, so enjoy the visuals.
As for the camera, both phones have a triple camera setup and the same front camera setup. Mas mataas ang pixel count sa OPPO K10 5G, with a 64 MP main shooter, and 2MP for depth sensor and 2MP for macro.
Mas maganda ang setup ng camera sa OPPO K10 Pro 5G: 50MP main shooter with OIS for more stable videos and clearer photos. It also has an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP (or 4MP) macro lens.
The cameras (basing on chipset specs) on the OPPO K10 5G may be able to record 4K@60FPS, with HDR10+ support, and a maximum of 200MP sensor support. But until we’ve seen the official specs, we’ll never know if this phone is good for mobile photography.
But at its level, pwede na natin masabi na the cameras are above average, even excellent. Pero depende pa rin sa post-process imaging software that the phone will come installed with.
The same thing goes for the OPPO K10 Pro 5G – basing on the SD 888 chipset, meron etong HDR support, better low-light pictures, and 4K HDR video support. This phone uses a SONYIMX766 camera sensor for its main camera.
