Iconic Star Wars design baked in

The standout feature is a 3D relief of Darth Vader’s helmet on the back, complete with an iridescent finish and a red glow that gives the device a layered, “in-the-dark” feel. OPPO and Star Wars branding are tastefully etched into the back panel, making it feel more like a curated collector’s item than just a phone.

Packaging is part of the story: the phone ships in a Death Star II–themed box with numbered branding and gold accents. Inside, you’ll find several themed accessories: a Darth Vader-shaped charger, a pendant-style SIM ejector pin, and a Death Star II phone stand. There are also exclusive wallpapers and animations from iconic Star Wars scenes to complete the experience.

Specs? Same as your regular Reno 14F

Don’t expect the Dark Side edition to diverge from the base Reno 14F in specs. It’s not about performance, but aesthetics and fan appeal. For reference, the standard Reno 14F has a 6.57-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, and a 6,000 mAh battery with 45W wired charging. It also sports a triple rear camera setup: 50 MP main, 8 MP ultra-wide, and 2 MP macro.

Other shared features include:

  • In-display fingerprint sensor
  • IP68 / IP69 water and dust resistance (same as the standard 14F)
  • Android 15 with ColorOS 15

What to watch for

  • Regional Availability: The device was launched in Mexico. It’s unclear whether OPPO will release this edition in the Philippines or other SEA markets.
  • Pricing: With the limited-edition design and accessories, expect a premium over the regular Reno 14F.
  • Collector Value: As a numbered special edition, it could become a sought-after item; if OPPO limits the production.
  • Software Perks: Whether those Star Wars wallpapers and animations are just cosmetic or come with deeper interactivity (e.g., themed UI sounds or effects) remains to be seen.
