OPPO Reno 16 Series Leak Hints at “Intelligent Screen” and Flagship-Level Cameras.

Intelligent screen?

OPPO’s upcoming Reno 16 lineup is starting to take clearer shape ahead of its official debut, with a new leak offering a near-complete look at both the OPPO Reno 16 and OPPO Reno 16 Pro. The latest details come from tipster Digital Chat Station, outlining hardware upgrades, camera setups, and a curious new “intelligent electronic screen” feature.

The Reno 16 Pro appears to be positioned as the more premium offering. It is tipped to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K flat OLED display paired with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s. Powering the device could be a sizable 7,000mAh battery, supported by 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The build is also expected to include a metal frame, signaling a more premium design direction.

On the imaging side, the Reno 16 Pro is rumored to carry a triple-camera system headlined by a 200MP HP5 primary sensor. This is said to be accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, suggesting a strong focus on versatile photography.

The standard Reno 16, while slightly more compact, is not expected to compromise much on hardware. It is tipped to feature a 6.32-inch 1.5K flat OLED display and run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8550. Battery capacity is still substantial at 6,700mAh, with support for 80W wired charging.

Interestingly, the Reno 16 may share the same camera configuration as the Pro model. That includes the 200MP HP5 main sensor, along with 50MP ultra-wide and 50MP periscope telephoto cameras. An uncommon move that could blur the line between the two variants.

One of the more unusual additions mentioned in the leak is an “intelligent electronic screen.” While specifics remain unclear, it is said to support features such as custom wallpapers and remote-control photography. This could point to a secondary display element or new interactive software capabilities, though OPPO has yet to confirm the exact implementation.

The company has already begun teasing the Reno 16 series and opened pre-orders in mainland China. As with previous generations, multiple variants are expected to launch under the Reno 16 lineup. However, global availability may follow at a later stage.

With large batteries, high-resolution cameras, and experimental display features, the Reno 16 series appears to be shaping up as a feature-packed refresh that aims to push the lineup further into flagship territory.
