Early details about the upcoming OPPO Reno16 Pro have surfaced, offering a glimpse into what could be one of the brand’s most ambitious mid-to-premium offerings yet. Following the launch of the Reno15 series in China last November, OPPO appears to be preparing a notable upgrade across performance, camera hardware, and battery capacity.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, one variant of the Reno16 Pro is expected to feature a 6.78-inch LTPO display with a 1.5K resolution. The panel is also said to come with slim, uniform bezels, pointing to a more refined and immersive viewing experience.
Under the hood, the device is tipped to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset. It could be paired with up to 16GB of RAM and as much as 1TB of storage, although the highest storage option may not make it to final production. More likely configurations include 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 512GB variants.
On the camera front, the Reno16 Pro is rumored to take a major leap with a 200MP primary sensor, accompanied by a periscope telephoto lens suggesting a stronger focus on both detail and zoom capabilities.
Battery capacity is also expected to see a significant boost, with the device tipped to pack a 7,000mAh or larger cell. Despite this, it will reportedly feature a metal frame, indicating that OPPO is aiming to balance durability with premium build quality.
Color options are said to include black, green, purple, and white. In terms of pricing, the Reno16 Pro is expected to land between CNY 4,000 (₱35,157*) and CNY 5,000 (₱43,946*).
Meanwhile, the standard Reno16 is rumored to take a more compact approach with a 6.3-inch display and a Dimensity 8000-series chipset, positioning it slightly below the Pro model in terms of performance.
While these details are still based on leaks, they suggest that OPPO is pushing the Reno series further into flagship territory with the Reno16 Pro.
