The OPPO Reno16 series has officially debuted in China, introducing two models for now: the Reno16 Pro and the standard Reno16. Both devices headline a triple rear camera system led by a 200MP main sensor, and are offered in three color options.
While the two share a similar imaging identity, their internals and display choices split them into clearly defined tiers.
The Reno16 Pro features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display paired with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, positioning it as the more performance-focused variant.
The standard Reno16, meanwhile, comes with a smaller 6.32-inch OLED panel and runs on the Dimensity 8550 Super SoC.
Both phones support up to a 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, peak brightness reaching up to 3,600 nits, high-frequency PWM dimming, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Camera hardware is identical on both devices. Each includes:
- 200MP primary sensor (f/1.8, OIS)
- 50MP periscope telephoto lens (OIS)
- 50MP ultrawide camera with 116-degree field of view
- 50MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls
The shared setup emphasizes OPPO’s continued push toward high-resolution imaging across the Reno lineup.
Battery capacity and charging speeds also differ between the two models.
The Reno16 Pro is equipped with a 7,000mAh battery supporting 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The standard Reno16 includes a slightly smaller 6,700mAh battery with 80W wired charging, but no wireless charging support.
Both devices run ColorOS 16 and include dual SIM 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an IR blaster, and IP69K durability rating.
Connectivity differs slightly, with the Reno16 Pro supporting Wi-Fi 7, while the Reno16 is limited to Wi-Fi 6.
