OPPO just dropped its newest flagship lineup in China, and it’s a strong triple play: the Find X8s, X8s+, and the high-end Find X8 Ultra. Between MediaTek’s latest silicon, cutting-edge camera hardware, and fast charging across the board, this launch feels like OPPO flexing hard in the premium space.
Find X8s & X8s+: MediaTek’s Newest Muscle on Display
Let’s start with the Find X8s and X8s+, which are the first phones to launch with the Dimensity 9400+ chipset. That already gives them an edge for users who want flagship-tier performance with improved efficiency and AI smarts.
- The X8s comes with a 6.3-inch AMOLED display, while the X8s+ bumps things up to 6.59 inches, both with FHD+ resolution and buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rates.
- Both devices pack up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage, and run ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 out of the box.
- Battery sizes are solid too: 5,700mAh for the X8s and a beefier 6,000mAh on the X8s+, both supporting 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Design-wise, they’re going for a slightly different look:
- The X8s sticks to a more symmetrical camera module layout.
- The X8s+ switches it up with an irregular triangular sensor arrangement.
And about those cameras:
- Both feature a 50MP Sony LYT700 main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP telephoto lens—though the X8s+ has a slightly shorter 73mm focal length compared to the X8s’s 85mm, but with similar dual-axis OIS support.
Pricing in China
- Starts at CNY 4,199 (~$571) for the 12GB + 256GB model.
- Topped out at CNY 5,499 (~$748) for the maxed-out 16GB + 1TB variant.
Find X8 Ultra: Slim, Stacked, and Serious About Cameras
Then there’s the Find X8 Ultra, the most premium of the trio—and OPPO didn’t hold back.
- It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite, backed by up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of storage.
- The screen is a 6.82-inch 2K AMOLED LTPO panel with 1–120Hz dynamic refresh rate.
- Despite all the power inside, OPPO kept it sleek: just 8.78mm thick and lighter than many of its direct rivals.
Battery life? Covered. The Ultra packs a 6,100mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The camera setup is where things get interesting: a quad 50MP array, complete with upgraded 3x and 6x periscope zoom lenses—tuned in partnership with Hasselblad. OPPO even threw in a haptic shutter button with zoom control and a customizable shortcut button for quick camera access.
It’s also the only phone of the three to carry both IP68 and IP69 ratings, making it seriously rugged for real-world use.
OPPO’s Find X8 series brings serious heat this year—whether you’re after MediaTek’s latest flagship chip or a maxed-out Ultra model with pro-grade cameras and rugged build quality. Between bold design choices, thoughtful hardware, and high-end specs, this trio proves OPPO isn’t just keeping up—they’re pushing forward.
