The budget phone market is getting a new contender with the upcoming Oukitel C53. Leaked details reveal a surprisingly capable device for its price point.
The C53 boasts a large 6.6-inch HD+ LCD display protected by scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 5. It also features a 5MP selfie camera housed within a notch.
On the back, the phone sports a unique diamond-cut design with a triple-camera module. Don’t be fooled by the three circles, though – only the center one houses a functional 13MP main camera.
Under the hood, the Unisoc SC9863A processor keeps things running smoothly alongside 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. The phone comes pre-installed with the latest Android 14, but future upgrade availability remains to be seen.
A 4,000mAh battery promises solid stamina, and the phone charges through a modern USB-C port. Audiophiles will appreciate the inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Oukitel C53 comes in a variety of colors – grey, blue, purple, and green – and is expected to be available for a budget-friendly price of around $120 (~₱7,053.60) to $130 (~₱7,641.40) on Oukitel’s official website.
