realme P3 Ultra 5G to have a moon-inspired design.

Out of this world!—realme P3 Ultra 5G to feature Moon-inspired design

2025 looks to be a hallmark year for realme’s smartphone design.

During this year’s Mobile World Congress, realme showed off their temperature-sensitive color-changing technology with the realme 14 Pro series. The phone dynamically responds to subtle temperature changes, changing its colors from white to a vibrant blue.

Even on its own, the realme 14 Pro series has a unique and stunning pearl design, mimicking the design and texture of a clamshell. But it looks like realme isn’t just stopping there. The tech giant has released a series of teasers for the upcoming launch of their P3 Ultra 5G.

What’s unique about the P3 Ultra 5G?

Now, phone launches are a dime a dozen, but this one in particular stands out because of its groundbreaking glow-in-the-dark “Lunar Design” back panel. Employing advanced micro-sculpting techniques to mimic the lunar surface’s texture.

It’s even enhanced by what’s called the “Starlight Ink Process,” which embeds thousands of star-like particles into the back panel. These particles absorb light and emit a subtle glow, similar to how stars are at night.

If that’s not your cup of tea, there are also other colors to choose from: Neptune Blue and Orion Red, both having a premium vegan leather finish for a much more subtle and elegant approach.

Underneath all the glamour

But the realme P3 Ultra 5G isn’t just all bling; it also possesses a powerful bang, so to speak. Starting off with performance, the P3 Ultra 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultra coupled with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It also supports 90 fps gaming with a 2500 Hz touch sampling rate.

Despite coming in at just 7.38 mm thin and weighing 183 g, the P3 Ultra 5G houses a large 6,000 mAh battery with support for 80 W fast charging. As for the display, it sports a quad-curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display also supports HDR10+ and can achieve a peak brightness of 3,500 nits.

In the camera department, the P3 Ultra 5G is equipped with a 50MP main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. While the front-facing 32MP camera supports up to 4K video recording at 30fps.

As of this writing, there’s still no information regarding the P3 Ultra 5G’s price. I guess we’ll just have to wait until the March 19 launch to know more.

Do you think a version of this will be launched in the Philippines?
