Just when we thought that POCO C50 will harvest the potential of the older C40’s JLQ chipsets, they instead revered back to a mediocre Helio A22
This day, Poco will introduce the Poco C50 in India. An entry-level smartphone, the C50, will be offered for sale on Flipkart. The gadget has a similar spec list and is essentially a Redmi A1+ rebranded. Finally, it has surfaced on Geekbench, disclosing its performance and reiterating a few crucial specifications.
The model number for the India-specific C50 is listed as 220733SPI in the listing. The MediaTek MT6761V SoC, which is essentially the Helio A22 SoC and has an entry-level quad-core clock speed of 2.0GHz, powers the phone.
When POCO releases the phone, it will at the very least have 3GB of RAM. The phone is expected to offer 32GB and 64GB of storage capacity. The listing also confirms that the device will ship with Android 12 pre-installed when it makes its debut in India.
It might use MIUI 13 for POCO as an overlay or run stock Android. Additionally, the listing includes the POCO smartphone’s single-core and multi-core Geekbench scores, which were 140 and 504, respectively.
The Poco C50 is expected to have a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch and a maximum brightness of 400nits. The device’s back has a leather-textured pattern, just like the POCO C40. The device has Android 12 Go Edition pre-installed and is powered by an IMG PowerVR GPU and a MediaTek Helio A22 CPU.
The 5,000mAh battery in the Poco C50 can be charged at 10W. It comes with a depth sensor in addition to an 8MP back camera. It has a front-facing 5MP camera for selfies. On the back of the phone is a fingerprint reader. A dedicated micro-SD card slot and a 3.5mm audio jack may also be included in the Poco C40.
