Xiaomi is likely to introduce new devices from the K80 series, in November or December. The POCO F7 Pro is also likely to be introduced soon
The K80 line, which is expected to include a vanilla Redmi K80 and a Pro model, has been the subject of recent leaks. The standard Redmi K80, also known as the POCO F7 Pro in global markets, is rumored to feature several upgrades over its predecessor.
One significant improvement is the addition of “flagship waterproof” capabilities. Unlike the Redmi K70 and K70 Pro, the K80(POCO F7 Pro) is expected to offer an IP rating, likely IP68 or even IP69, similar to the more affordable Redmi Note 14 Pro.
Another notable feature is a telephoto lens capable of macro photography. This is a departure from the Redmi K70, which had a triple rear camera setup without a telephoto lens. The phone’s back is said to be made of glass, and white could be one of the available color options.
In terms of battery life, the Redmi K80(POCO F7 Pro) is rumored to pack a substantial 6500mAh battery. Large batteries have become a trend in 2024, with several flagship devices and even the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ featuring batteries in this range.
Previous reports suggest that the Redmi K80(POCO F7 Pro) may feature a 2K OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The K80 will launch alongside its Pro sibling, which is expected to have the same chipset and display but may differ in charging and battery capacity.
